Cannabidiol is a naturally sourced ingredient contained in hemp plants. Hemp is usually cultivated for its nutritional properties to be used in foodstuffs, high quality oil and its durability when it comes to textiles.

CBD is extracted from the leaves and flowers of hemp plants (cannabis sativa) which have been grown for the specific purpose of obtaining the CBD compound. Along with the other hundreds of cannabinoids found within cannabis sativa, Cannabidiol is thought to provide a number of health benefits as it reacts with the existing CBD receptors in our bodies.

These receptors are known as the endocannabinoid system. This is believed to control our physiological processes including appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory. Hence why some people choose to use CBD as a way of managing symptoms.
